Final Reminder: SCA Census
Kind of hard to believe that it's been almost a year since we started the project, but the SCA Census will be closing shortly -- you can find the survey here. Please, if you are or ever have been involved with the SCA at all, take a few minutes to go through it. (Underscoring the "ever have been": we are quite interested in why people left the Society, so if you've dropped out, you still matter here.) I won't claim that it's perfect, but the survey is the result of a lot of hard thinking by a bunch of folks, to try and get a serious read on the state and thinking of the Society, and the Board appears to be keenly interested in the results.

I believe we're also in need of a few people to work on the results side -- coding the open-ended questions, helping with the statistical analysis, and so on. If you want to get involved in that end, leave a comment and I'll look into it...

Oooh, I'd love to help with the stats!

Okay, cool. Could you email me your preferred email address for this, and maybe a paragraph or two of relevant CV? One of the core committee members is organizing a spreadsheet of volunteers, so I'll add you to that, and she can take it from there...

I filled it out a while back, but I stopped playing because my shire kind of died. :(

Yeah, it's always trickier when your group is geographically isolated, and yours was to a greater degree than perhaps any in the US...

I think I am going to try to get one event going for 2011, Maybe our Lag'b omer bonfire

Survey complete - thanks for the reminder.

I want to help on the results side. For instance, helping to group open-ended questions sounds like fun.

Lovely; thanks! Can you email me (jducoeur at gmail) your preferred email for this, and maybe a paragraph or two of your background as you'd like it? I don't think the CV is quite as important as for the stats tasks, but there's a "comment" field in the volunteer spreadsheet that seems to be intended to let the members of the committee know who their volunteers are...
